Hi All,

This Sunday (17th August)  

Intermediate trip to Teeside Whitewater Course. Meet at clubhouse for
9.00 a.m. if you need kit or directions - otherwise see you there.
Course is running 8.00 - 2.00.

Also this weekend: 15th - 17th August  Intermediate trip to the
Tryweryn, Welsh White Water Centre, Bala - Upper and Lower

Accommodation:  Camping at Ty Isaf (Big fires and fishing by the river

Coming up:

 

13th September - weekend trip to the infamous Liffey Descent in Ireland.

 

27th September - LCC organizes the WildWater Race at the Washburn -
volunteers required.

 

17th - 19th October. Introduction to White Water weekend - staying at
the Goat Inn nr Llangollen.  Further details from Martin
[martin at mntdesign.co.uk].

Regular Tuesday evening sessions on the River Aire at Kirkstall . At the
clubhouse prompt for 6.00 p.m. aiming to be on the water for 6.30 until
it gets dark about 8.00ish. Pub visit after :-)

Regular Thursday evening river coaching sessions on the River Aire at
Kirkstall. Training towards BCU Star qualifications. On the water for
6.30. Contact Martin Thornton  [martin at mntdesign.co.uk] if you intend to
go. 

Please note - the tree is still in the river below the weir. It has been
trimmed significantly (thanks to Eddie et al.), but still presents a
hazard. Coaches - please make sure all beginners are made aware of the
pinning potential and are supervised carefully.

[n.b. pool sessions still running on Thursdays as usual.]
