Hi PADDLERS.

 

Two days to go so thought I should give you all a reminder about this years Big Welsh Weekend Trip.  And if it continues raining there will be options to do some of the other Welsh classic rivers, access dependant of course, as well as FREE paddling on the TRYWERYN (It took some effort but managed to get it through before the trip!!)

Trip Details:

 

Date:  15th - 17th August 2008

Venue:  Afon (River) Tryweryn, Welsh White Water Centre, Bala - Upper and Lower.  

Accommodation:  Camping at Ty Isaf (Big fires and fishing by the river available) www.tyisafbala.co.uk <http://www.tyisafbala.co.uk/>  Cost per person per night £5.  We're in Field 3 (The far one).  Pay on arrival, booked under Greg Parsons and LCC.

Standard - Intermediate 

Transport - Make your own way there but I know there is some room in some cars so team up or get in touch.

 

The trip is always very popular because its guaranteed water and caters for different levels of ability.  The lower section of the river offers a good training ground for improving paddlers whilst the upper can challenge even the advanced paddlers.  There's plenty of other activities on offer with the Lake Bala, The Arenig Mountains, and some of the best mountain bike rides in Europe.
