Dear Paddler,

Please find detailed BCU Course List for January to August 2009. This 
list is so fresh it has not yet appeared on my web site!

There is also a poster in case you have a notice board.

The new BCU UKCC Level 1 and 2 Awards are now well established and all 
candidates who have attended them thus far have been very impessed.

Both the BCU UKCC Level 1 Certificate in Coaching Paddlesport and the 
BCU UKCC Level 2 Certificate in Coaching Paddlesport-Training courses 
are available by arrangement. As indeed are all courses. Group bookings 
attract good discounts.

The Advanced White Water Safety and Rescue Course is now available. 
Remember, if you are a White Water Kayaker and intending to do your 5 
Star Assessment soon you will need this course as a pre-requisite.

The next North East Region Coach Update Day will be on 31st May. Put it 
in your diary.

The Region has now been divided into 4 new LCO areas:

County Durham (LCO Rich Longstaff)
Teesside (LCO soon to be Dave Hopwood)
Tyne and Wear (LCO Nicola Smith)
Northumberland (LCO Carl Halliday)

We are proposing to further support coaches in Team North Super Region 
by holding a Coaching Forum Weekend of coach related workshops. This 
will take place in Teesdale and is scheduled for 28th ad 29th November 
2009.

If you paddle a Specialist White Water Canoe/OC/C1 then you might be 
interested in a get together we are having in Teesdale on the 14th and 
15th March. Details will be published soon.
