[LCC-Club] Christmas party

Hi all,
 
Yes it's almost that time of year again for our Christmas party and annual awards. This will be held on 20th December, at the bar in Armley Leisure centre. We should have tickets on sale shortly, at £5 per head (free for under 18's). This will cover the cost of the room hire, DJ and buffet. I am usually at the pool most weeks so see me if you would like to buy a ticket. 
 
We also need nominations for the following awards:
 
Adult most improved paddler 
Junior most improved paddler
Adult best swim 
Best Pin 
Pool Officer 
Club captain 
Services to leeds canoe club 
Bernard Chapman award (someone behind the scenes who has done a lot for the club) 
Dick of the year 
Duck award 
Best coach
Any other awards you can think of that someone deserves?
 
So have a think over the past year, and email your nominations to me (catherine.baxter at yahoo.co.uk; DO NOT JUST REPLY TO THIS EMAIL AS IT WILL GO ROUND THE WHOLE CLUB). Also try to give a description of the event, eg swim, or a reason why they should get the award. 
 
We will vote at the next committee meeting on 1st December to decide who will get the awards.
 
Also there will be a prize for best fancy dress so start planning your costumes!
