[LCC-Club] Beginner's trip this Sunday

Hi All,

 

Plans have firmed up now - we are going to go downstream on the River
Aire from the clubhouse into the Dark Arches under Leeds City Station.
Not as dire as it sounds! Meet at the clubhouse in Kirkstall for 9.00
a.m. 

 

There has been some interest in taking open boats as well as kayaks on
this trip - Steve Don, our resident guru on famous Canadians, has
volunteered to marshal the Dark Side - see email below. But rest assured
there will be plenty of kayaks available for the rest of us with more
conventional tastes!

 

 n.b. rafters commonly refer to kayakers as 'river maggots' - think on!
