Hi All,
Sunday (26th October) Beginner's/Improvers/Intermediate
Down on the calendar as a beginner's trip, but forecast is for heavy
rain on Saturday so rivers could be up. We'll keep flexible and decide
what to do and where to go on the day. Depending on conditions we may
split into two groups - beginner's and improvers ( i.e. like people who
went on the 'Intro to Whitewater' weekend - who should be ready for
something a bit more challenging now J).
Meet at the clubhouse at 9.00 a.m.
If you have not been before, the clubhouse is in the grounds of the
Rugby Academy, next to Morrisson's supermarket. Park in the Rugby
Academy carpark.

We provide boats and kit for beginners. Ideally you should have a
wetsuit, but at a pinch you can get by with a change of clothes - bring
some old (warm) clothes and trainers that you don't mind getting wet. A
windproof cagoule or similar to wear over the top is also advisable as
it can get chilly on the water. And bring some food and drink you can
carry in the boat.

Coming up:
Tuesday 4th November Bonfire and Pie'n'Peas at the clubhouse in
Kirkstall - further details to follow
14th-16th November Advanced Weekend North Wales - contact Paul Crouch

----------------
TUESDAY/THURSDAY EVENING RIVER SESSIONS HAVE NOW FINISHED FOR THE YEAR
Pool sessions on Thursdays as usual.
n.b. Only people with bands are allowed to paddle. We are limited to the
number of boats we can have in the pool, so if you come late you
probably won't get a boat. Please check with me or the lifeguard BEFORE
you get changed to see if there is any space available. If there isn't
space, you can try to persuade a mate who has a band to share their
boat, but the negotiations are down to you.
We've been asked by the swimming team who are in the pool before us that
we don't go out on the pool side until they are finished. Please stay
in the changing rooms until they start to pack up.
Also - if you want to join in with the public swim after our pool
session - you need to pay in advance at reception.
Cheers,
Steve
