Subject: Fwd: NWSC: Festival of Freestyle - Opportunity for Coaches (and SprintRegatta!)

Hi Coaches, Paddlers, Volunteers, Paddlesport enthusiasts!

Friday 5th to Sunday 7th September:

Firstly, of particular interest to all levels of coach:

As a part of the Freestyle Festival Pete Catteral, the UKFreestyle Team Coach and Head Watersports Coach at PYB, is offering two free coaching sessions to show how freestyle coaching may be introduced and/or how to introduce freestyle in the club environment. We have now had the following coaching sessions confirmed. Registration for the sessions will take place on the Saturday morning during competition registrations and will be first come first served .

You can register your interest with JIM: Jim Evans [jim at alpkit.com]

This is a great free opportunity for any level of coach to learn more about freestyle and how to coach it.

This is on Saturday 6th September at Holme Pierrepont. There will b e a 2 hour workshop in the morning and another one in the afternoon.

The Festival coincides with the last Sprint Regatta of the year so it is a massive canoeing weekend at NWSC which there are perhaps many coaches and paddlers would benefit from visiting – I am sure many would be gob-smacked at the speed of the sprinters and the gymnastics of the freestylers!

In addition there is on Saturday only a ‘Paddlers Car Boot Sale’; could be a great opportunity to pick up some useful and cheap second hand kit!!

On the Saturday I will be providing 45 minute ‘taster’ sessions on the Winfield Pool! No pre-booking required – just turn up! First come first served!

Please circulate this to all your Paddlesport contacts !

Regards

Stuart
