Hi All,

Sunday (14th September)

Beginner's trip

Many of us are away at the Liffey Descent in Dublin, but Steve Don & Cat
are organising a beginner's trip for Sunday - probably on the canal.
Meet at the clubhouse for 10.00 a.m.

If you have not been before, the clubhouse is in the grounds of the
Rugby Academy, next to Morrisson's supermarket. Park in the Rugby
Academy carpark.

We provide boats and kit for beginners. Ideally you should have a
wetsuit, but at a pinch you can get by with a change of clothes - bring
some old clothes and trainers that you don't mind getting wet. A
windproof cagoule or similar to wear over the top is also advisable. And
bring some food and drink you can carry in the boat.

25th September

clubhouse prompt for 6.00 p.m. aiming to be on the water for 6.30 until
it gets dark about 8.00ish. Pub visit after :-)

Thursday evening river coaching sessions on the River Aire at Kirkstall.
Training towards BCU Star qualifications. On the water for 6.30. Contact

Please note - the tree is still in the river below the weir. It has been
trimmed significantly (thanks to Eddie et al.), but still presents a
hazard. Coaches - please make sure all beginners are made aware of the
pinning potential and are supervised carefully.

[n.b. pool sessions still running on Thursdays as usual.]

Cheers,

Steve
