Hi All,

Saturday (27th September)    Leeds Canoe Club hosts the Wild Water Race
at the Washburn.  All volunteers appreciated.

We have a lot to get organised, so an early start - meet at the
clubhouse at 6.30 a.m. to pick up marquee, barbeque etc.   We'll be
onsite from about 7.30 onwards if people want to go directly there.   If

Racing starts at 11.00 am (Sprint) and 2.00 p.m.(Classic)

 

Sunday (28th September)  

Beginner's trip    Meet at clubhouse at 9.00 a.m.  Probably down the
River Aire to the Dark Arches.

If you have not been before, the clubhouse is in the grounds of the
Rugby Academy, next to Morrisson's supermarket. Park in the Rugby
Academy carpark.

We provide boats and kit for beginners. Ideally you should have a
wetsuit, but at a pinch you can get by with some old clothes and
trainers that you don't mind getting wet. A windproof cagoule or similar
to wear over the top is also advisable. Bring some food and drink you
can carry in the boat.

Nights are drawing in now - so we will be finishing evening river
sessions for the year - LAST RIVER SESSION WILL BE TONIGHT Thursday 25th
September

 [n.b. pool sessions still running on Thursdays as usual.]
