Coaches and potential coaches.
The following link is to a bursary for UKCC coach training. (Via Steve
Henderson and Gareth Fields), its an online application for funding to
sit either the Level 1 or Level 2 courses. Currently I don't know how
much funding its intended to provide or whether its available to
everyone.
What I do know is that its available to some people, but only if you
ask.

Now for a bit you aren't aware of. If you are a BCU level 2 coach, you
probably won't be able to become a UKCC level 2 coach without re-sitting
the Level 2 assessment. Which in turn means that you will not be able to
move up the new coaching ladder unless you transfer or start again.
So long as you have all the prerequisites you can apply for the funding
to sit the assessment.
My view is you can apply for the funding and if you get it and don't
choose to proceed, then no one's lost out.
Fill out the on line form now.

Do it now, before you forget.
The funding doesn't seem to be available for UKCC Level 3, but I suspect
that this is because it hasn't been finalized between the BCU and the
UKCC. If you are a potential BCU level 3 about to sit your assessment, I
would recommend questioning the BCU about transfer to UKCC before you
part with anymore money.
Regards
Martin
