FREE FSRT course

 

I need 4-6 people to provide support for a Triathlon in the Lake district, in return for about three hours of providing kayak safety on the lake and Marshalling on the run. The organizers will provide us with enough funds to run a FREE FSRT course.

 

FSRT (Foundation Safety and Rescue) is a certificated course, for paddlers of a two star standard. Due to the nature of the support we are providing, I need to restrict this to over 18's.

 

The course can cost up to £60 per person (and is currently being offered on the YORCIE web site as £45 per person).

 

The deal with the TRIATHLON people includes camping fee's on the Saturday night and there were also rumours of a free BBQ and possibly a BAND (but don't bank on either of these in case they don't happen).

 

The course is a prerequisite for all coaching courses and a logical progression after two star.

 

You will have to provide your own kit, transport, tents  and food.

 

Places are limited, coaches in need of this award will get priority, after that anyone who has two star or has the potential to get it before the date is welcome to come along (limited to 6 people)
