All
We are planning a WHITE WASTER SAFETY AND RESCUE COURSE.
If I can find six likeminded persons, then the course we have on offer is £90 per person, assuming that we fill all places (£100 if not).
The planned course will probably be held on the upper Tees and will be run by After Adventures Ltd.
Have a look on the club website for the syllabus
http://www.leedscanoeclub.com/training/whitewater_safety_rescue.php
If we get enough interest we are hoping to run the course at the end of September.
Please let me know if you are interested .
After Adventures Ltd is owned and run by Paul Bull (a club coach) and Matt Keyse. The course will be delivered by Matt Keyse, who is an extremely experienced paddler qualified with the British Canoe Union to aspirant level 5 coach/A4 assessor status (inland kayak) and is a Foundation Safety and Rescue and White Water Safety and Rescue assessor.
As Paul Bull is a member of the club, I need you all to read the following statement, which is on the club website.
Charging coaches are to be treated as external coaches for the duration of the training and assessment. This means that they must be disassociated from the club name and facilities (These are not Leeds Canoe Club courses). External Coaches must supply their own equipment, location, insurances and organize all their own paper work (Leeds Canoe club does not accept any liability for club members whilst trading as paid coaches, nor for members participating in external courses).
We will do all we can to ensure this happens, but if there are any objections to this please say so, we may book a course with an alternative provider.
Regards
Martin
