RNLI Dracula Drop Bungee Jump – Sat 25 April 2009, Whitby
 
The RNLI is holding its third annual Dracula Drop bungee jump during the Whitby Gothic Weekend on Saturday 25 April 2009.  Participants are invited experience the ultimate adrenaline rush, and support the RNLI, by jumping from a platform suspended over Whitby harbour, with the ruined Abbey as their backdrop.  All we are asking for is £100 minimum sponsorship from each jumper, with all funds raised going directly to the RNLI, which provides a ring of safety around the UK at a cost of over £330,000 every day, with no Government funding.
 
I’d really appreciate it if you would agree to put up the attached poster to help promote the event – this really is a unique opportunity to experience the thrill of being suspended 160ft over Whitby harbour.  You could also forward this email to family and friends to encourage them to take part.  We are looking for daring participants, but also spectators to come and cheer them along!  
 
Please consider helping us out by spreading the word about this fantastic fundraising opportunity – your help would be very much appreciated and contribute directly to supporting our volunteer lifeboat crews and actively helping to save lives at sea.  Last year 21 people were rescued by the RNLI every day thanks to our supporters, so participation in our events really does make a difference.
