Hi All,

POOL SESSIONS!!!!

Tonight is the last session at Armley. The leisure centre shuts down at the weekend - and the new centre will not open until April 2010. We will be removing all boats and kit tonight and storing them at the clubhouse, so anyone with roof racks/straps who can lend a hand appreciated.

We are relocating our pool sessions in the interim to Kippax Leisure Centre on Wednesdays 7.45 - 9.00 starting next Wednesday 22nd July. Meet in the foyer at ~7.30.

There is no storage for pool boats so we will have to take boats up there and back to the clubhouse each week. I went to have a look around yesterday and the staff said we may be able to get boats onto the pool side using double fire doors at the end of the pool that open directly onto the car park. So if you are taking your own boat don't try and take it through the foyer, leave it on your car until we get organized. And we want to make a good impression at the new venue so please ensure all boats are scrupulously clean and securely padded.

Kippax is a bit out of the way, but it has a larger pool and we get a longer session, so come and give it a try.

Sunday 19th July Beginners trip. Destination to be decided on the day. Meet at clubhouse for 9.00 a.m. If you have not been before, the clubhouse is in the grounds of the Rugby Academy, next to Morrisson's supermarket. Park in the Rugby Academy carpark.

Ideally you should have a wetsuit, but you can get by with some old clothes/trainers you don't mind getting wet. A nylon cagoule, running top or similar is advisable over the top to keep the wind off
