Hi All,
Sunday 26th July Down on the calendar as an Advanced trip, but not much rain forecast, so we will downgrade to an Intermediate trip. Probably Teeside Whitewater Course which is running 10.45- 4.45p.m. Fees apply. Meet at clubhouse 9.00 a.m.
Coming up:
7th - 9th August. North Wales camping weekend to Bala. Hopefully Tryweryn will be running. Suitable for intermediates, and confident beginners who have done a few river trips/evening sessions. Staying at Ty Isaf campsite - they are expecting ~ 15 of us for Friday and Saturday night (7th - 8th) Pay individually at the reception caravan when you arrive (was ~£5 per night last time) - we will probably be in the furthest field at the top site. http://www.tyisafbala.co.uk/index.html
15th August Social outing to Ripon Races. Coach from Kirkstall at 10.00 a.m. Travel and race entrance £21.50. Let Mick or Eddy know ASAP if you want to go.
9th - 11th October Intermediate social and paddling weekend staying at the well-loved Goat Inn, nr Llangollen. Places are already going fast so contact Martin asap if interested. [martin at mntdesign.co.uk]
----------------
River Session - Tuesdays 6:00pm
An informal river session down at the clubhouse at Kirkstall. A great chance to practice your boat skills. No formal or structured coaching will take place but many experienced members will be on hand to help any beginners/intermediates out. On the water for about 6:30pm.
River Session - Thursdays 6:00pm
For those who have just completed their introductory pool sessions and others, structured coaching is available down at the clubhouse in order for you to work towards your BCU star awards. On the water for about 6:30pm.
Pool Sessions
Now at Kippax Leisure Centre on Wednesdays 7.45 - 9.00 . Meet in the car park at ~7.30p.m. (or in the foyer if wet).

There is no storage for pool boats so we will have to take boats up there and back to the clubhouse each week. We can get boats onto the pool side using double fire doors at the end of the pool that open directly onto the car park. So if you are taking your own boat don't try and take it through the foyer, leave it on your car until we get organized. And we want to make a good impression at the new venue so please ensure all boats are scrupulously clean and securely padded.
Kippax is a bit out of the way, but it has a larger pool and we get a longer session, so come and give it a try.
Cheers,
Steve
