[LCC-Club] Sunday 24th May - Triathlon support - Wetherby

Is anyone interested in providing Kayak support for the Wetherby Triathlon on Sunday May 24th.

 

I need a total of 7 to 8 people to provide on the water support for the swim section of the race.

 

We will need to be on the water , on the river that runs through the centre of Wetherby, for 7.30am (race starts at 8am, we can't be late). We will be finished by about 9am and free to go off and do something else for the day.

 

As a paddler you must be confident on very slow moving water (similar in speed to that outside the boat house at Kirkstall). The point of us being there is to recover struggling swimmers, so you will need to be confident with basic rescue techniques (we can run through these on the morning before the event, and on a Thursday night on the river).

 

In return for this hour or so of your time, you will get paid, £20.

 

Let me know if you are interested, I already have most of the team organized so am only looking for two to three more people.
