Hi All,

Please note: Last evening river sessions for this summer will be Tuesday 22nd September and Thursday 24th September. 6.00 p.m. sharp to make full use of what little daylight we have left.

>From October, due to higher costs at Kippax, pool fees will be increasing.

New fees: Adult members £4, junior members £3.

               Adult non-members £5, junior non-members £4.

------------

Sunday 20th September Beginner's trip. Destination to be decided on day. Meet at clubhouse at 9.00 a.m.

If you have not been before, the clubhouse is in the grounds of the Rugby Academy, next to Morrisson's supermarket. Park in the Rugby Academy carpark.

We provide boats and kit. Ideally you should have a wetsuit, but you can get by with some old clothes/trainers you don't mind getting wet. A nylon cagoule, running top or similar is advisable over the top to keep the wind off. And bring some food and drink you can carry in the boat.

Pool Sessions

Kippax Leisure Centre on Wednesdays 7.45 - 9.00 . Meet in the car park at ~7.30p.m. (or in the foyer if wet).

There is no storage for pool boats so we will have to take boats up there and back to the clubhouse each week. We can get boats onto the pool side using double fire doors at the end of the pool that open directly onto the car park. So if you are taking your own boat don't try and take it through the foyer, leave it on your car until we get organized. Please ensure all boats are scrupulously clean and securely padded. No outdoor shoes on poolside please. Pass boats in through the fire doors and then walk around the outside to get to the changing rooms through the foyer, NOT via the poolside.

Kippax is a bit out of the way, but it has a larger pool and we get a longer session, so come and give it a try.

Cheers,

Steve
