Washburn WWR Helpers,

 

I'd just like to thank all those who turned up (some very early, and on
bikes) to help out at the Washburn on Saturday.  The organizers have
said how well the event went so an excellent effort from everyone.  

 

I'd also like to congratulate our two entries in the wild water race,
Scott and Mr Henderson.  I'm sure all would agree a quite unique and
unrivalled occasion for Mr Henderson which caught us all by surprise -
he stayed in his wavehopper....all the way down the river...the right
way up...without needing any of his finely tuned river swimming
techniques!  

 

I'll let Scott tell you about his run.  Please do ask him!

 

We will be running the event next year and would be great to see a lot
more from the club taking part.  There is talk of a shotgun start race!!
We've asked for it to be a different weekend to the Slennigford Slalom
which should help.
