Friday 9th April.  Polo training at Wetherby Sports Centre,  9.00 -
10.00 p.m. All welcome. Contact Mick or Curly if you intend to go.

This weekend:

Sunday 11th April.  Beginner's trip. Meet at clubhouse in Kirkstall at
9.00 a.m.  Destination - possibly River Ure at Slenningford campsite nr
Ripon (small fee to paddle this section). If you have not been before,
the clubhouse is in the grounds of the Rugby Academy, next to
Morrisson's supermarket. Park in the Rugby Academy carpark.

We provide boats and kit. It is still cold so you will need a wetsuit,
and several fleece layers plus a nylon cagoule, running top or similar
over the top to keep the wind off. And bring some food and drink you can
carry in the boat.

Coming up:

Thursday 15th April. Coaching meeting with Kelvin for those interested
in coaching on Thursday evenings. 8.30 p.m. at the Vesper Gate (or 6.30
at the clubhouse if you fancy a social paddle first).

Saturday 24th April. Aire Spring Clean. Collecting litter and rubbish
down the river. Volunteers appreciated.

 

15th - 16th May 2010  Bradford & Bingley Wagon Lane Div 3/4 & Doubles
Slalom. Contact Mick if interested

24th July. Social outing to York Races. Contact Mick if interested

Regular summer Tuesday/Thursday evening river sessions on the Aire at
Kirkstall will resume from Tuesday 20th April.  6.00 p.m. prompt. To be
on the water by 6.30.
