Hello Eco Warriors

Katie, Mick and I would like to thank all who have volunteered to help with the Aire Spring clean this weekend (24th April).

The plan is to meet at 9am at the boat house near Morrisons and start the litter pick around 10am. Some of us will be in canadian canoes, other will be walking about. So bring some sensible foot wear and some simple canoe kit. I'm planning on bringing some old trainers rather than river shoes.

Leeds City Council are providing litter picking sticks and I have lots of bin bags, which have been donated by the council and the National Tidy campaign.

For health and saftey reasosn I've also got some coloured bibs for people to wear when walking about (very stylish). It would be helpful if people brought some gloves to wear or marigolds.

The skip (donated by Egger Timberpak) will be placed near the club house, due to the council changing their mind about it being near St Anne's Mill. If you see Collin Palmer, the ground keeper at the rugby training ground please thank him for allowing us to leave the skip at the boat house.

The bbq is planned to start about 2pm and is free to all volunteers. I'm sure we will have earned it. Hopefully the Morrison vouchers will have arrived by Saturday.

The local press and maybe the BBC are planning to make a visit so Mick may want to get a hair cut! We will be taking pictures for magazine etc so remember to smile.

Anymore questions feel free to ask

Thanks for your support
