n.b. NO polo training this Friday

This weekend:

Saturday 24th April 2010. Aire Spring Clean. Collecting litter and
rubbish down the river. Meet at the boat house in Kirkstall for 9am.
Followed by BBQ at 2pm. Volunteers appreciated - please let Arran know

Sunday 25th April 2010 -  Beginner's trip. Meet at clubhouse in
Kirkstall at 9.00 a.m.  Destination to be decided on the day. If you
have not been before, the clubhouse is in the grounds of the Rugby
Academy, next to Morrisson's supermarket. Park in the Rugby Academy
carpark.

We provide boats and kit. You will need a wetsuit, or some old
clothes/trainers you don't mind getting wet plus a nylon cagoule,
running top or similar over the top to keep the wind off. And bring some
food and drink you can carry in the boat.

15th - 16th May 2010  Bradford & Bingley Wagon Lane Div 3/4 & Doubles

28th-31st May. Spring Bank Holiday Intermediate weekend in Bala. Maybe
Tryweryn, maybe surf. Camping Fri/Sat/Sun nights - probably Ty Isaf
Campsite again if I can book it. Please let me know asap if you are
interested so I can give them some idea of numbers.

 

Sunday 20th June. Leeds Canoe Club run our own Washburn release.
Volunteers needed.

 

Saturday 10th July. Kirkstall Festival. LCC run a 'come and try it'
event. Volunteers needed.

 

24th July. Social outing to York Races. Contact Mick if interested

Regular summer Tuesday/Thursday evening river sessions on the Aire at
Kirkstall will resume from Tuesday 20th April.  6.00 p.m. prompt. To be
on the water by 6.30.
