Hi,

I can't believe how much litter we picked up. Feel very proud that we have made the area nice and clean now.

Found several umbrellas, many disgusting things which I won't name and the most interesting was a coin:-

Hi Katie,

Glad the event was a
success!

Items that we found that maybe of
interest -

Car bumper [!]
rugby ball [adopted by our
dog]
spam cans [at the fishing spot -
note to anglers!]
Morrison's shopping bags, old and
new design - x9

Needless to say, I think we should
be doing more events like this, and I am happy to help out when I can!
[Stupid Dog also available!]

Best wishes

Hi all

Big thanks to everyone who helped out at the
litter pick yesterday. It was great to see so many volunteers and we all did a
really good job. We were so lucky with the weather, which made the BBQ all the
more enjoyable - thanks again to Mick and Eddy for getting that sorted. And well
done Aaron for getting the whole thing coordinated!

Mick did a
great job organising a free skip for us (thanks Mick!) and he's going to get it
weighed tomorrow so we will know just how much less rubbish is festering in and
around the Aire thanks to our efforts!

Some people pulled some
pretty weird and wonderful stuff from the river - let me know what
funny/unusual/unexpected items you found as it would good to include info like
that in the event write-up for local press etc. Also if there's anything in
particular you found a lot of, such as balls, traffic signs, etc, that would
also be useful to know.

Thanks again and well
done!

Katie
