Take on a new
challenge for the RNLI this Spring!

Jane Tomlinson’s Hull
10kmis a brand new running event, and
promises to offer a fantastic atmosphere for the thousands of runners taking
part. Starting and finishing in the centre of Hull, this unique event offers
the chance to join thousands of others in raising funds for good causes. The
RNLI is proud to be one of the official partner charities in what promises to
be a fantastic year in Hull, as we celebrate 200 years of lifeboat cover at
Spurn Point.

We are
looking for people to join Team Lifeboat atJane Tomlinson’s Hull 10kmon Sunday
23 May, and so directly support our
volunteer lifeboat crews as they save lives at sea every day of the year. We
hope to have up to 500 people running for the RNLI at this fantastic event.
With no Government funding, we are totally dependent on our generous
supporters.

Anyone choosing to run the Hull 10km for
the RNLI will receive an RNLI running vest, expert training advice, personal
fundraising support and charity support on the day. It costs just £20 to
register and there is no minimum sponsorship amount.

For
non-runners, we areholding our fourth annual Dracula
Drop bungee jump in Whitby on Saturday 24 April 2010.
Participants are invited experience the ultimate adrenaline rush, and support
the RNLI, by jumping from a platform suspended over Whitby harbour, with the
ruined Abbey as their backdrop.

All we are asking for is £100 minimum sponsorship from
each jumper, with all funds raised going directly to RNLI lifeboat crews and
lifeguards, who provides a ring of safety around the UK at a cost of over
£330,000 every day.

Please
contact me (lisa_rutter at rnli.org.uk; 0161 787 8779) if you require any further information on
either of these fantastic events. We would be extremely grateful if you would
consider supporting the RNLI at these local events; either by circulating the
details to your friends and colleagues, or by entering yourself!
Many thanks in advance for your support,
Kind regards,
Lisa
