Hello!

In Jan/Feb this year my partner and I are hosting the Banff Mountain Film
Festival World Tour in the UK . I don’t know if
you have heard of the Banff 
festival but it is one of the best and most renowned Mountain Film Festivals in
the world. 
 
We believe the Banff festival will be a great event - the
films are brilliant (we are showing the best short films from the festival) and
it has a great international reputation. This is our first year though so we
are really keen just to get the word out there to people who love the outdoors. 
 
We have screenings at Leeds 
on Thursday 18th and Sunday 21st February at the
Carriageworks Theatre. The festival will feature some great canoeing/ kayaking
films (one sea kayak film and one river kayaking) as well as other mountain
based films such as paragliding (including incredible aerial footage of Mont
Blanc), mountain biking, skiing/boarding and climbing to name a few!
 
The screening will have a really friendly, festive atmosphere (as it does in
all other countries it tourswhere
most shows sell out). We have lots of other local outdoor groups that will be
coming to the shows. There will be lots of prize giveaways as well each night
(including an overall prize of a 7 day trek to Mont Blanc ). 
 
We would be extremely
grateful if you might be able to mention the event to your group as a possible
social event? (on a forum or perhaps an email mention to your members). Let me
know if there is anything else you would like to make it a good night out for
your group.   
The bar will be open before
the shows and during intermission and therefore might be a nice winter
get-together for your members. 
Would be great if you
could check out the website www.banff-uk.com (there is a trailer here
and a bit of info about the films) and any questions/feedback about coming
please let me know!  Would be brilliant if you could make it!
