Right, there's not long now!<br> <br>Don't stop reading just because of the dirty slalom word, it isn't always a bad thing! You don't need any special equipment, just a desire to have fun and go paddling! (we can lend you stuff if you fancy trying a slalom boat or a c1/c2, we've got plenty!) We can also offer coaching if you're new to things. Just let us know.<br> <br>This is the first slalom that the Tees Tigers have run, but a lot of work has already gone into it and it's going to be good!<br> <br>A lot of you will have already heard of Abbey rapids on the River Tees near Barnard castle as it has been used extensively by slalom and river paddlers for decades. We have been fortunate to have been allowed access for the weekend and hope to make it a great success.<br> <br>The event is a division 2, 3 and 4 double. Division 4 is entry level, so you don't need to have raced before and double means
that there is a race on each day which can be entered seperately. There is a team event, where paddlers race down the course together in a group of three. Anyone can enter in any boat, you don't even need to have a full team, we'll sort that out if needs be!<br> <br>We have arranged camping on site and are planning on having a Barbacue on the saturday evening and tickets will be available on the day (or email me to pre book!)<br> <br>More details will appear on the canoe slalom website as things are finalised, but please let me know if you have any questions.<br> <br>I have attached a copy of the post that we have produced to promote the event and would be grateful if you could display this at your club night, or forward this message to anyone in your club.<br> <br>I look forward to hearing from you and hopefully meeting you in a few weeks time!<br> <br>Many thanks<br> <br>Nicky Cresser<br>On Behalf of
